The head line is the line in the palm that connects us to our emotional life, actions and thoughts. All in all, I see the head line as a reflection of our brain. It illustrates action, abilities, thoughts and mind. As much as the thumb is our physical drive, the main line is our mental drive. This is where all our immediate concerns are. The head line shows how you use your brain.
As in all my other blog posts, a line can NOT be read isolated. A line always connects to other areas. The head line can pass through all 4 squares in the hand.
That’s why I also read the thumb at the same time. But also all the extra lines that form in the hand.
The head line connects with the other major lines
The head line is in the middle of your palm. And therefore it is always read together with the other lines. Have you noticed if your head line is close to your heart line or if it is far from your heart line?
Do you have a break in your head line? Then you have a showdown/significant change in your life, which depending on whether it is right or left hand – has a connection to your past/childhood. It could be a showdown with a domineering parent. Your breakup may also be in connection with a job change, where you no longer have to work in the same way. For example, it could be going from an insurance broker to a nurse. Here, everything else being equal, the brain will have to work in a different way.
You may also have what I call an island on your head line. An island on a line occurs when the line splits and meets again shortly or long after. It simply looks like an island. An island is a challenging period. When it is on the main line, it means that mentally (thought-wise) you may have a hard time. It can be difficult for you to see the good things in life. The time may be hard, but at the same time it is also rewarding. At least afterwards!
Head lines can also reach far down the hand. That is, away from your fingers. This means that you are somewhat more visual, dreamy and intuitive than those people who have a very straight head line.
