The challenge for mutable energy lies both in its strong susceptibility to influence and its difficulty in making lasting decisions.
Cardinal
The cardinal energy is initiating and proactive. Something needs to happen, and preferably right now. Action must be taken and things set in motion. There is a very short gap between thought and action. The goal is to do something, no matter what it is.
Patience is a challenge for cardinal energy. This energy is hardworking and often driven with strong determination. Stubbornness and inflexibility are some of the more critical traits associated with this energy.
Fixed
The energy holds on to what is. Persistence is key, and the goal is to preserve all that has value. It prefers to maintain what is known and saves resources for harder times. This energy needs peace and calm. Stubbornness, expressed as persistence, is a strong trait of this energy. Once the foundation is established, change happens slowly. This also means the energy is loyal and responsible.
