On the Palmistry course we always focus on ourselves. Not on a boost of temporary self confidence, but focusing on all our shadows. If we don’t reflect inward, we can’t look outward caringly. If we want to make deep, present and useful palm readings, we also need to know ourselves. Working with our shadows is therefore important for all of us in the group. At the same time, we produce the best group dynamics when we are equal and consider ourselves equal.
Shadow work requires courage, time and presence. It is the most difficult. We all know it. We tend to walk away from everything that is difficult, in the hope that it will resolve itself and go away. But it rarely does. Awareness is important in such a process. If we are not aware of our part in the shadow work, then our behavior continues – and we have not changed anything in principle. The law of attraction should probably help with that.
As always, the palms reveal what we try to hide. Small red dots, warts, eczema but also lines that run from the venus area help to make the shadows visible. Often palms love working on shadows. It’s a big eye opener. My phrase “dancing with shadows” came about when I was sitting in front of a client who said to me “I want to understand myself – and everything that I can’t immediately see – but that I feel”.
The process may not be easy, but it will be worth it
The back of the hand has shadows, your nails, the lines, the small lines, the different mountains and areas, the images in the hands and the shape of the hand. Shadows are expressed differently. But common to all hands is that it is something that you suppress or don’t want to be near of. The good as well as the not so good.
For example, some hands have an extra heart line that runs just above the heart line. The line has many positive sides. It is extra helpful, holds great empathy, is loving, giving, supportive and caring. It is beautiful to give unconditional love to others. That line can. But it has a big shadow. It often forgets itself. It always gives out more than it has energy for. This creates an imbalance in the energy system. Especially because it rarely gets anything back.
The differences between the left and the right hand
In a palm reading, it’s important to read the differences between the left and the right hand. It is part of the shadow work. You can easily be aware of a shadow. But it can also be the repressed and the denied. That’s why projections are so great. We all have traumas and emotional wounds that we project onto others. We see them far better there.
You probably know it. It is not easy in a busy everyday life to feel the pain. Having time for yourself. To get close to the point of redemption. That point where you become vulnerable and deals with it. This is not easy. It is far easier to project the shadow out in to another person. Then you don’t have to do anything about it yourself, you think.
Nothing is scheduled in a palm. It is all that wants to be adressed to, that we read in to. These are also areas that “talk to each other”, and are also areas that do not talk to each other. We distinguish between the conscious layers held up against the unconscious layers. We distinguish between active energy held up against passive energy.
Shadows in the hands – you do anything but feel the pain
You can find your own shadow by looking at that, which you condemn or gossip about, whether positive or negative publicity. It is the people who trigger us the most, who carry our shadows.
