The Saturn-Neptune Conjunction Has Already Left Its First Marks
Back in February 2026, Saturn and Neptune stood at 0°45′ Aries. More precisely, on February 20. No one alive has ever experienced a Saturn-Neptune conjunction in Aries before. That in itself says something about the enormous period of change that lies ahead of us. On every level. A new cycle begins. A new era.
Saturn symbolises responsibility, structure, systems, debt, boundaries, control, discipline and maturity. It shows where we encounter resistance and are confronted.
Neptune symbolises “the subtle”, intuition, dreams, spirituality, ideals and the unconscious. It dissolves boundaries, opens us to the invisible and connects us with our compassion. It can also create illusions, confusion and escapism. But most importantly, Neptune is about creating trust. A space without end.
Saturn-Neptune is the world’s reality check.
What Does It Mean When the Two Trauma Planets Meet in Aries?
The perspective I primarily explore here is that of the collective. But naturally, it also affects you personally in the areas of your personal horoscope where Saturn and Neptune are currently active. In the hands, Saturn is your middle finger. Your psychological and physical position. It expresses how you feel about yourself. Neptune resides at the opposite end of the hand, namely at the base of the edge of the palm. It is the hidden, boundless and loving energy that allows you to feel. When the planets are close together, as they are right now, a struggle arises between these two planets in the hands. It makes sense that Saturn wins because it stands in active energy. But there is just one thing about Neptune: it has awakened from the dead and is being reborn as it moves into a new cycle, leaving Pisces energy and moving directly into Aries energy. This is a birth. Just as when you were born. You, too, moved from Pisces energy directly into the active energy of Aries.
Neptune does not give up without a fight. It simply takes longer to gain a foothold. If you are a Pisces, you may recognise that you can take longer to do something because you feel and feel, unlike Aries, which is quicker to take action.
Do We Trust the Current Systems?
Returning to the starting point of the new cycle between Saturn and Neptune. The collective keyword is trust. Trust in current systems. Systems we know as education systems, institutions, the monetary and banking systems, healthcare, social norms, energy and supply systems, political systems, public authorities and institutions, authorities that are losing their form, and many other systems.
Perhaps you can already see it, as I can, but the systems (Saturn) that are not meant to be carried forward into the future will not survive. What we once believed in is dissolving. Precisely because this is about a “loss of trust”. We do not trust that the systems can carry us forward in the future. Now, this does not mean that a system simply collapses because we have a new conjunction between Saturn and Neptune. It takes time. All Capricorns know that it takes time to work with Saturn. All Pisces know that it takes time to work with Neptune. The combination of these two planets means that the process becomes obscured. That the process is slow, irreversible and difficult to comprehend. We may be well aware that something is wrong, but we hold on to hope. The hope that we can continue as we always have. That is always the easiest option, but not necessarily the best one.
Who Controls These Regulations?
Systems are built by people, for people. But somewhere along the way, this has been turned around. Today, it is the individual who has to adapt to the system. The child must fit into the school. The sick person must fit into the treatment programme. The unemployed person must fit the requirements. The elderly person must fit into the care system. And if you do not fit in, you are the one who is seen as being the problem.
If these words resonate with you, you should know that there is nothing wrong with you. You simply have not been met in your situation or as the person you are. I often think that the children and young people, the sick and the unemployed who are paying the price right now are victims of our inability to see that the system is failing and needs to change. The system consists of people who are themselves stuck. And those who want to break free cannot change the system alone. Young people are speaking up in their beautiful and subtle way. But they are not being met, heard or seen. In my world, they deserve enormous praise for saying, “Something is seriously wrong.”
Our systems are now undergoing change! Rules that were once created to provide security have become so rigid that they have lost touch with the people they were meant to serve. The system is built for the average person. But the average person does not exist. And when no one fits in completely, no one feels completely seen either. That is precisely where trust disappears. When a person has no trust, we need to wake up. And that is happening right now!
Aries Puts the Individual First
Aries is the first sign of the zodiac and belongs to the 1st house, the house of the self. It is about the individual stepping forward and finding their own path. Aries is not interested in inheriting other people’s paths. It wants to find its own. It is no coincidence that a new Saturn-Neptune cycle is being born right here. It points to the structures of the future being built around the individual, rather than the other way around. Saturn in Aries provides a structure for the individual. Neptune in Aries dissolves the idea that one form fits everyone.

Which People Are the Ones Using the System?
Some people are quick to act, like Aries. Others feel and feel, like Pisces, and need more time. Some think in terms of structure, others in images and sensations. We can see this in the horoscope, and we can see it in the hands. Just look at your own hands. The middle finger, Saturn, shows your position. The edge of the hand, Neptune, shows what you feel. A system that only sees the middle finger overlooks the rest of the hand.
No two hands are alike. No two horoscopes are alike. A system that can only accommodate one type of person rests on the illusion that we are all the same. And that is precisely the illusion that Saturn and Neptune are now exposing.
From Adaptation to Trust
Trust (Neptune) arises when a person feels seen. Structure (Saturn) can hold when it is built for the people who have to carry it. This is the new connection between the two planets. The systems that dare to begin with the individual are the ones that will be carried into the new cycle.
